Carpet Cleaning: Tips to Help Keep Your Carpet Clean
Tips in keeping your homes carpet in tip top shape:
No Shoes Allowed: To keep your carpets in the best shape possible donĂ¢€™t allow people to wear their shoes in your home. Make it completely obvious that guests should leave their shoes at the door. Provide an area for people to sit to remove shoes and a storage place for shoes.
Use Mats: Use door mats at all entrances and exits of your home. Feet bring in much of the dirt and dust that penetrate homes. It is important to make sure the mats get vacuumed as much as the carpet. They will be catching a good portion of the allergens that will be entering your home.

Getting Carpet Stains Up
Use a porous cloth to blot the solution into your carpet, rub it in gently, then rinse it with a clean hot water rag then finish by drying with a clean rag. Be sure to get all the detergent up so that a residue is not left behind.
For Chewing Gum, remove as much of it as you can with a plastic baggy. The gum adheres to the plastic baggy. Next apply ice to the gum that is left in order to freeze it. Once frozen the gum becomes easy to pick from the rug fibers.
Grease Stains can often be removed using undiluted isopropyl alcohol. Blot the area and then wash with the homemade carpet cleaning formula. If that doesn’t get it all, apply a few drops of fresh hydrogen peroxide and wash again with the homemade carpet cleaning formula.

Complete Carpet Care For the Home
Carpeting in a home can be quite expensive so it is no surprise that such an investment should be given the appropriate care. Making sure that the carpets are cared for is more than just calling a visiting home carpet cleaner occasionally. It takes constant care, the right carpet deodorizer and maintenance in order to keep them fresh and clean. Check out our best carpet cleaner tips to ensure your investment is maintained.
Vacuuming is just the beginning step when it comes to carpet care. What this does is prevent the accumulation of dirt in the fibers. Daily vacuuming is the best, particularly if you have small children. But it can be done twice weekly, or even once a week if the carpet is located in low traffic areas or you are not home during the day. Run the nozzle of the vacuum in a sweeping fashion across the fibers to get all of the particles.
